So this past week. (i've been really slack about this.)
On Wed, I thought I was going to small group. and I was excited. Then, as we were in the librbary printing our papers, we discovered that there was a field trip that night to the national theatre. Now, while I was pumped about the theatre, I was bummed to have to miss small group. I got over it. We went to the Kingston Mill and had some chicken burger and chips, then headed to the theatre. We barley made it on time, but we did. The show was called Nation. It was very interpretive, but I think it might be cool as a youth theatre piece. So I bought the script
Thursday, I skipped my class and did nothing all day.
Friday, I went to school to print my ticket. Then came home and packed and watched a movie.
We met at the station and headed to Dublin. I forgot like everything. But it was alright. The flight was HORRIBLE! There was no time without turbulance. The whole time I was praying asking God that if we crashed I wanted to die before the plane hit the ground. But we didn't. God is powerful. We made it to the hostel at about 12:30, and hit the sack.
The next day we woke up early and caught a bus tour around the country side. We went to a place called Glendelach where one of the first (I think) monasteries was built. It was cold and raining, but SO beautiful. And very peaceful.
Then we got back on the bus and headed to KillKenney and took a walking tour.
Then we headed back. That night, Ireland played France in football so, joining in the fun we went to a pub to celebrate. It was slammed, but everyone in the pub was SO nice, so I had a great time. After the game we walked outside and met one of the barmen, who was on his smoke break. We all decided to go have food together. It was so random but fun. We ate chinese food. Then Kim and I went back to go to bed, being the non partiers we are, and Cate and Megan went out to have some more fun.
The next morning, we woke up and checked out of our hotel and went and had bagels. Then we went to the street where once was filmed and Megan and Cate acted out some scenes.
Then we did a little shopping. I got some cool gifts for people, and then went to Trinity College.
We saw the book of Kells, which is from like 900ad. Really really old. We walked around some more and had some lunch. We took a few more pics and went back to the hostel to grab our luggage and chill out for a while. Then we headed home!
our hostel is the blue building.
We got home late Sunday. Yesterday was uneventful, I had class and we cooked and watched Once and pointed out all the places we'd been.
Today, I skipped my class because my partner was also skipping, and there was no point in going without a partner because all we do is partner work. I decided to cook an awesome dinner. So I made a pizza,
and a dessert. It was meant to be pumpkin cheese cake, but ASDA did not sell pumpkin or evaporated milk, so it ended up being a "half cheese cake." because it taste good I'm putting up the recipe. Yum
